Please join The Pre-K Priority on Monday, July 22 from 5pm-6:30pm at the Intergenerational Center for Arts and Wellness as we present highlights from OUR FIRST PRIORITY — a community report highlighting key findings from county and city-funding to support high quality Pre-K in 30 classrooms across Forsyth County.
Investing in children, families, and teachers is crucial for closing opportunity gaps, improving community health, and stabilizing our workforce, with Pre-K as the top priority. In 2023, COVID-related federal funding supported the Pre-K Model Cohort Classrooms benefiting 30 classrooms, more than 400 students, and 60 teachers. OUR FIRST PRIORITY shows significant outcomes for children and teachers. The investment has also strengthened families and helped secure parent’s ability to better engage with their children, navigate useful community resources, increase financial literacy, and confidently return to the workforce.
Join us to learn more about these efforts, engage in meaningful discussion, and celebrate the collective achievements shaping the future of Pre-K in our community.
